1. Reply with your name and I will write something random about you.
2. I will then tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I will pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
4. I will say something that only makes sense to you and me.
5. I will tell you my first memory of you.
6. I will tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll then ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. Put this in your journal, or else!

Your Birthdate: June 3

Being born on the 3rd day of the month is likely to add a good bit of vitality to your life.

The energy of 3 allows you bounce back rapidly from setbacks, physical or mental.

There is a restlessness in your nature, but you seem to be able to portray an easygoing, "couldn't care less" attitude.

You have a natural ability to express yourself in public, and you always make a very good impression.

Good with words, you excel in writing, speaking, and possibly singing.

You are energetic and always a good conversationalist.

You have a keen imagination, but you tend to scatter your energies and become involved with too may superficial matters.

You are affectionate and loving, but sometimes too sensitive.

You are subject to rapid ups and downs.

None of these are particularly exciting/new. I guess this means I frequent blogs more than LJ. My Friends List is anaemic or something...?

CFP: Watcher Junior: The Undergraduate Journal of Buffy Studies Apr. 7th, 2005 @ 02:36 pm
Lynne Edwards (Editor) and Katy Stevens (Associate Editor) of Watcher Junior, invite your submissions for the first issue of WJ, a refereed, electronic journal for undergraduate student scholarship in Buffy Studies. WJ is located at Slayage: The Online International Journal of Buffy Studies (http://www.slayage.tv).

Completed essays and research papers will be reviewed by members of the board and will be accepted for publication if three reviewers approve.  Essays that do not receive approval for publication will be returned with feedback for re-submission.

As an electronic journal, WJ accepts submissions year round, with issues publshed as scheduled intervals. To be considered for the first issue, please have your submission sent before the end of April 2005.

We welcome completed essays and research papers on any aspect of BtVS, Angel, or both programs. All papers should exhibit familiarity with previously published scholarship in Buffy Studies. The editors accept essays with a variety of recognized documentation styles (APA, MLA, or Chicago); however, all submissions should include a list of Works Cited.

Submit your work electronically as an e-mail attachment in Microsoft Word (.doc) or in Rich Text Format (.rtf). Be sure to number your paragraphs in the text you submit. Send it simultaneously to Lynne Edwards at edwards[at]slayage.tv and Katy Stevens at stevens[at]slayage.tv.
Please contact us (Lynne or Katy) via email with questions.

It seems Google are keen to expand the trial of Gmail so I have 50 invites to distribute if anyone wants one. 1 Gig of storage space and a really neat interface could be yours.

Just leave a comment with your email (make it spam resistent!) or if you know my email, drop me a line.

It does seem like every second net user has one these days so this may be a fruitless exercise.

I had forgotten to blog this back when it was published, and was just now reminded by Krista's post.

About my first book review
» a collision of senses
I've been spending so much time thinking about the thesis lately, having been energised by some penetrating conversations with my dad and with Agnes (the latter being largely drunken, but no less pertinent). And in an attempt to seek out a detour for the psychological roadblock which has prevented me from making real, qualifiable progress on writing the damn thing I've been trying some free writing exercises.
